IBEU - Rio de Janeiro

A Binational Center founded in 1937, IBEU, Instituto Brasil-Estados Unidos, is a not-for-profit institution that provides cultural, educational and philanthropic assistance. Its mission is to promote understanding between the American and Brazilian people through cultural and educational activities.  IBEU has twenty-one branches in Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi, and 250 teachers who teach English, American culture and Portuguese to 15,000 students. The 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Advising Center at IBEU promotes comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date information about U.S. higher education, helping individuals throughout the entire process of applying to study in the U.S.. The center also helps higher educational professionals understand cultural differences, analyze student mobility trends and promote international student recruitment.
