Our 91制片厂 Advising Center provides聽information for students interested in studying at U.S. universities and colleges.聽 We partner with Protea Owl on the Opportunity Fund Program.聽This program targets outstanding students and provides mentoring and assistance throughout the U.S. university application process. Applications for OF open once per year and selection is competitive.

Special Programs

Opportunity Fund Program
Description: The Opportunity Fund Program (OFP) mentors selected academically outstanding and highly motivated, students in South Africa throughout the U.S. university application process. It is not a scholarship, but it does assist with the cost of application fees to U.S. universities, visa fees, travel to the U.S. and a small one-time settling in allowance. Approximately 20 students country-wide per year are selected to participate in this program. Admission and funding decisions are made by the U.S. universities to which students apply and are not guaranteed.
Deadline: Once per year but date varies
Eligibility Requirements: For Bachelor Degree Study: Currently in grade 12 or 1st year our of high school; 80% aggregate or higher; leadership. For Masters or PhD Study: 1st Class/75% aggregate or better for 4 year Bachelors/Honours; financial need; relevant work/teaching/research.
